Summer Camp
![]() |
Students in this camp are involved in exercises designed to hone there acting abilities, engage them with Shakespeare’s language, learn from stage combat, and much more. They also work on a scene from one of the plays which they will preform on the last day of camp!
The Goal of the Century High Shakespeare Factory summer camp is to make the study of Shakespeare FUN!!!
Here’s how we do it:
• Each student is placed in an acting company consisting of campers close to the same age
• Each acting company is led by a member of Century High’s Rude Mechanical Shakespeare acting troupe
• Campers will rotate through a variety of stations each day. Each station is designed to teach the camper about the life, times, language, and works of William Shakespeare
• Campers will be involved in many performance based activities that make Shakespeare come alive in a way that is fun and interactive
• During the week each acting company will have time to rehearse a selected scene from one of the plays
• On the last day of camp, each acting company will perform the scene for the rest of the camp. Parents are invited to this and all activities during the week
• Awards will be given to selected campers at the end of the week. All campers will receive a camp tee shirt!
